Spacey Jane Profile Song and Biography
Spacey Jane

The group’s newest single ‘Cold Feet’ ushers in a sonic face-lift, with Lo-Fi vibes dominating the drums and guitars across the track – à la Pixies tone, come Stroke-sy pop melodies with a distinct SJ twist they’re becoming known for, including a pre-chorus that draws you in like a wave about to crash. Spacey Jane have developed a newfound maturity in the lyricism and composition of the track.

Panic! at the Disco

Panic! at the Disco Profile

Panic! at the Disco is an American rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada, formed in 2004 by childhood friends Brendon Urie, Ryan Ross, Spencer Smith and Brent Wilson. Since 2015, vocalist Urie has been the only official member of the band, with drummer Dan Pawlovich, bassist Nicole Row, and guitarist Mike Naran accompanying him on tour. Panic! at the Disco recorded their first demos while they were in high school. Shortly after, the band recorded and released their debut studio album, A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out (2005). Popularized by the second single, “I Write Sins Not Tragedies”, the album was certified double platinum in the US. In 2006, founding bassist Brent Wilson was fired from the band during an extensive world tour and subsequently replaced by Jon Walker.

Background information Panic! at the Disco :

Influenced by 1960s rock bands the Beatles, the Zombies and the Beach Boys, and preceded by the single “Nine in the Afternoon”, the band’s second studio album, Pretty. Odd. (2008) marked a significant departure from the sound of the band’s debut. Ross and Walker, who favored the band’s new direction, departed because Urie and Smith wanted to make further changes to the band’s style. The duo subsequently formed a new band, the Young Veins, leaving Urie and Smith as the sole remaining members of Panic! at the Disco.

Continuing as a duo, Urie and Smith released a new single, “New Perspective”, for the movie Jennifer’s Body, and recruited bassist Dallon Weekes and guitarist Ian Crawford as touring musicians for live performances. Weekes was later inducted into the band’s lineup as a full-time member in 2010. The band’s third studio album, Vices & Virtues (2011), was recorded solely by Urie and Smith in 2010, produced by John Feldmann and Butch Walker. Crawford departed once the tour cycle for Vices & Virtues ended in 2012.

As a three-piece, Urie, Smith, and Weekes recorded and released the band’s fourth studio album, Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die!, in 2013. Prior to the release of the album, Smith unofficially left the band due to health and drug-related issues, leaving Urie and Weekes as the remaining members. The duo recruited guitarist Kenneth Harris and drummer Dan Pawlovich as touring musicians for live performances.

In 2015, Smith officially left the band after not performing live with the band since his departure in 2013. Shortly thereafter, Weekes reverted to being a touring member once again, leaving Urie as the only member of the official lineup. In April 2015, “Hallelujah” was released as the first single from Panic! at the Disco’s fifth studio album, Death of a Bachelor (2016).

In December 2017, Weekes officially announced his departure from the band. He was replaced in March 2018 by Nicole Row. Later that same month, the band released “Say Amen (Saturday Night)”, the lead single from their sixth studio album, Pray for the Wicked (2018), which was released in June. In September 2018, Harris was dismissed following multiple allegations of sexual misconduct, and was replaced in October by Mike Naran.

Ligabue

Luciano Ligabue Profile

Ligabue was born in Correggio, in the province of Reggio Emilia (Emilia-Romagna in northern Italy). Before becoming a successful singer, he held various jobs, working in agriculture and in factories. He entered the music world in 1987, when he founded the amateur band Orazero. For this band he wrote several original songs, with which they participated in several local and national contests. The following year his fellow Emilian singer-songwriter Pierangelo Bertoli was the first to discover Ligabue’s writing talents, and included one of Ligabue’s songs, “Sogni di Rock’n’Roll” (“Rock n roll dreams”), in his new LP.

Profile Luciano Ligabue :

Luciano Ligabue Profile
Luciano Ligabue

Birth name : Luciano Ligabue
Born : 13 March 1960
Origin : Correggio, Province of Reggio Emilia, Italy
Genres : rock
Occupation(s) : Singer-songwriter, film director, writer
Instruments : Vocals, Guitar, Piano, Bouzouki (used during 2011 acoustic tour), Banjo (used during ‘arrivederci mostro – acoustic’ recording session)
Years active : 1986–present

The following year Bertoli introduced him to producer Angelo Carrara, to finish an LP of his own, Ligabue, which was released in May 1990. Ligabue soon gained fame as one of the most successful Italian rock stars, finding fans mainly among younger audiences. His most famous hits include Balliamo sul mondo (Let’s Dance on the World), Ho perso le parole (I’ve lost words) and the most successful of all, Certe Notti (Certain Nights), which was voted as “Italian song of the 1990s” in a poll held by a popular music magazine. He also collaborated with another famous singer-songwriter, Francesco Guccini, who also had a part in Ligabue’s first movie.

Ligabue directed his first movie, Radiofreccia, in 1998, a semi-autobiographical story of a local radio station. Critics acclaimed it as surprisingly well shot for a newcomer, and the film received 3 David di Donatello (the highest award in Italian cinema). He also composed the soundtrack. Four years later he shot Da zero a dieci (“From Zero to Ten”): however, it was not as well received as the first work, by both critics and fans.

On 10 September 2005, Ligabue held a concert in Reggio Emilia to celebrate his first 15 years of activity. The audience of around 180,000 set a European audience record for the one, non-free event for a single artist. However, due to problems with the audio system, several thousand people were unable to listen to the music and left the concert early. Ligabue later apologised for the problems.

Ligabue has also published a short story collection, Fuori e dentro il Borgo (“In and out the village”), which won several literary awards, a science fiction novel La neve se ne frega (“Snow doesn’t care”) (2005), and a collections of poems Lettere d’Amore nel frigo (“Love Letters in the fridge”) (2006).

ONE OK ROCK

One OK Rock Profile

One OK Rock (stylized in all caps as ONE OK ROCK), is a Japanese rock band, formed in Tokyo, Japan in 2005. The band currently consists of Takahiro Moriuchi (vocalist), Toru Yamashita (guitarist, bandleader), Ryota Kohama (bassist), and Tomoya Kanki (drummer). They have been playing many different styles of music, with songs ranging from alternative rock to emo to post-hardcore to pop rock.

The band’s name comes from “one o’clock”, the time that the band used to practice their music on weekends. They chose to play at one o’clock in the morning because it was cheaper to use the rehearsal space during such hours. However, noticing that the Japanese language made no distinction between R’s and L’s, “O’CLOCK” transformed into “O’CROCK” or “O’KROCK”, which later transformed into “OK ROCK”. In addition, One OK Rock can be expressed as “10969” (wan-ō-ku-ro-ku). The band uses both Japanese and English lyrics in their songs.
